NIWA autumn forecast
A mix of anticyclonic flows and easterly quarter flows are expected.
Air temperatures above average for the north and west of both Islands, average or above average for the rest.
Rainfall is expected to be near normal or below for the west of the North Island and the west of the South Island and near normal for the rest.
Ocean waters remain much warmer than average around the South Island.
River flows are expected to be pretty much normal. n
